MN: Water line bursts at costly bathhouse

(Jan. 12, 2018) -- Late last week, a thick layer of ice covered the sidewalk that wraps around and passes through the complex, between the bathhouse and the office. Ice had also formed on windows, doors and exterior walls. A broken ceiling tile and rubble were visible through a window on the laundry room door.

TWO HARBORS, Minn. — A water line has leaked at the new Burlington Bay Campground bathhouse complex in Two Harbors.

Late last week, a thick layer of ice covered the sidewalk that wraps around and passes through the complex, between the bathhouse and the office. Ice had also formed on windows, doors and exterior walls. A broken ceiling tile and rubble were visible through a window on the laundry room door.

The Burlington Bay Campground bathhouse, which opened last year, was originally budgeted for $400,000.
