MN: Storms cause tree damage at Chester Woods Park

(July 21, 2017) -- Workers armed with chainsaws are struggling to clean up Chester Woods Park after Wednesday's strong storms knocked down hundreds of trees in the park.

EYOTA, Minn. — Workers armed with chainsaws are struggling to clean up Chester Woods Park after Wednesday’s strong storms knocked down hundreds of trees in the park.

Tom Eckdahl, the park’s manager, said it is the worst damage to an Olmsted County park in recent history.

“I know our park system has not experience a blow down like this in the close to 25 years I’ve been around,” he said.
