MI: Campground looking to fund new rentals, utilities improvements

(Dec. 5, 2017) -- New campground rentals, updated sites and upgraded utilities could be in one Isabella County park’s future as administrators take the first steps toward securing funding for improvement plans.

ALMA, Mich. — New campground rentals, updated sites and upgraded utilities could be in one Isabella County park’s future as administrators take the first steps toward securing funding for improvement plans.

Citing limited staff time and proven success in the past, Parks and Recreation Director Sue Ann Kopmeyer is asking commissioners Tuesday to approve a $4,000 contract with Spicer Group for grant writing services seeking funding from the Department of Natural Resources to support improvements at Coldwater Lake Family Park.
