MD: Polar Bear Plunge set at Greenbrier State Park

(Jan. 5, 2017) -- “We currently have over 170 pre-registered participants and have plenty of room for more,” said Nikki Houser, the shelter's corporate partnership and events coordinator. “This has become a winter tradition for many people in our community. It is a radically fun way for animal lovers to help a great cause and we can’t thank them enough for the support.”

HAGERSTOWN, Md. — The Humane Society of Washington County’s 14th annual Polar Bear Plunge at Greenbrier State Park on Jan. 14, is rapidly approaching.

Participants and donations continue to grow and excitement is rising.

The event, sponsored by VerStandig Broadcasting, is already seeing a record-breaking number of participants.

“We currently have over 170 pre-registered participants and have plenty of room for more,” said Nikki Houser, the shelter’s corporate partnership and events coordinator. “This has become a winter tradition for many people in our community.
