Man stole $62,000 in park rental fees

(Nov. 19, 2015) -- The New York State Inspector General's office told CNY Central 51-year-old David Gosier has been charged for stealing more than $62,000 in boat dockage and rental fees from the Wellesly Island State Park in the Thousand Islands.

ALBANY, N.Y. — A LaFargeville man is accused of stealing thousands of dollars while in charge of a Wellesley Island marina, according to CNY Central.

The New York State Inspector General’s office told CNY Central 51-year-old David Gosier has been charged for stealing more than $62,000 in boat dockage and rental fees from the Wellesly Island State Park in the Thousand Islands.

“This State worker ran a long-term scheme operating a State facility using State resources to allegedly skim more than $62,000 for himself,” Inspector General Catherine Leahy Scott said.
