Las Vegas Strip tosses KOA to the curb

LAS VEGAS — In late September, the KOA campground at Circus Circus will lose its lease so the casino can clear the land for an outdoor festival area, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Casino officials told the Times they haven’t ruled out a smaller renovated RV park for the future that would open seasonally.

Even onetime Mayor Oscar Goodman, a primary cheerleader for everything Las Vegas, finds fault with KOA’s departure from the Strip, the Times reported.
