LAKE CHARLES, La. — As a travel and tourism reporter for the USA Today Network, I’ve covered state initiatives that call for Louisianans to be “ambassadors” by sharing their corner of the state on social media or to “staycation” and see what’s in our own backyard.
I decided it was high time my little family of four did just that.
So we’ve decided to visit all 21 Louisiana state parks and explore as a family, starting Sunday with Sam Houston Jones State Park in Moss Bluff (Lake Charles for those of you not from there).
