Kevin Ward elected 2017 president of MRCA

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. — Kevin Ward of El Rancho Mañana Campground & Riding Stables has been elected to a one-year term as president of the Minnesota Resort & Campground Association for 2017. Others elected as 2017 officers were:

• President Elect: Eric Hanson – Pehrson Lodge, Cook
• Vice President: Phil Trusty – Crow Wing Lake Campground, Brainerd
• Treasurer: Paul Waldowski – Appeldoorn’s Sunset Bay Resort, Isle
• Immediate Past President: Beth Schupp – Fair Hills Resort, Detroit Lakes

Joe DeRose of Riverside Resort, Richmond, will join the board in 2017. Continuing board members include:

• Jim Benson – Grand View Lodge, Nisswa
• Dan Berg – Up North Dock & Lift, Detroit Lakes
• Paul Bugbee – Bug-Bee Hive Resort, Paynesville
• Jerry Cheney – Sysco, St. Cloud
• John Gordon – Train Bell Resort, Merrifield
• Jeff Hardy – Fish Trap Camping/RV Resort, Cushing
• Bryan Harris – Eagle Nest Lodge, Deer River
• Larry Johnson – Cedar Valley Resort, Lanesboro
• Tom Kavanaugh – Kavanaugh’s Sylvan Lake Resort, East Gull Lake
• David Langhoff – Shady Rest Resort & Campground, Villard
• Paul Ludlow – Ludlow’s Island Resort, Cook
• Paul Nelson – Vagabond Village Campground, Park Rapids
• Steve Nelson – Spirit of the Wilderness, Ely
• Christine Olschlager – Canary Beach Resort, Villard
• Ron Rykken – Timber Bay Lodge & Houseboats, Babbitt
• Shorty Spohn – Two Rivers Campground, Royalton
• Debra Theisen – Pine Park Resort, Park Rapids
The election took place during the MRCA’s Fall Conference last week in Alexandria. The Minnesota Resort & Campground Association provides marketing, legislative advocacy, education and networking for resorts and campgrounds throughout Minnesota.
