Iowa parks to hold campground programs

(May 20, 2011) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project invites campers and the visiting public to attend campground programs at Clark’s Ferry and Shady Creek Recreation Areas from Memorial Day to Labor Day, reports the Aledo Times Record.

MUSCATINE, Iowa — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project invites campers and the visiting public to attend campground programs at Clark’s Ferry and Shady Creek Recreation Areas from Memorial Day to Labor Day, reports the Aledo Times Record.

On Saturday, May 28, Ed Kocal from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be at Shady Creek Campground to talk about boating safety.

On Saturday, June 11, Bob Burchett will teach the art of knot tying at Clark’s Ferry Campground.
