IL: Celebrate Earth Day at historic campground

(April 21, 2017) -- Shift2Green and the Des Plaines Park District are hosting the 10th Annual Earth Day Celebration this year at the 156-year-old Historic Methodist Campground, near River and Algonquin roads, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 22 in Des Plaines.

DES PLAINES, Ill. — Shift2Green and the Des Plaines Park District are hosting the 10th Annual Earth Day Celebration this year at the 156-year-old Historic Methodist Campground, near River and Algonquin roads, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 22 in Des Plaines.

Families are invited to make craft projects using recycled materials, add a leaf to the Earth Day Dream Tree, plant a bean, learn about community recycling and receive a free tree sapling.
