ID: Blaine County nixes eclipse campground

(Aug. 11, 2017) -- Blaine County Land Use and Building Services effectively ended discussions of public and commercial eclipse camps Wednesday morning.

KETCHUM, Idaho — Blaine County Land Use and Building Services effectively ended discussions of public and commercial eclipse camps Wednesday morning, tying up loose ends left over by the county commissioners the day before.

Land Use Director Tom Bergin determined that public, commercial tent camping in a low-density residential zone was not permitted by the Blaine County code, which specifically addresses short-term use by campers and RVs.
