IA: Campground adds a ‘little library’

(April 13, 2017) -- The box is part of an international trend of small free exchange libraries. This example was built by the mayor of Lake View who donated it for auction at an Iowa League of Cities meeting and fundraiser in December.

STORM LAKE, Iowa — When campers arrive in Storm Lake this spring, they will find a new addition – a “little library” of their own.

The box is part of an international trend of small free exchange libraries. This example was built by the mayor of Lake View who donated it for auction at an Iowa League of Cities meeting and fundraiser in December.

Storm Lake Mayor Jon Kruse, City Manager Jim Patrick, Assistant Manager Keri Navratil and Public Works Director Jason Etnyre attended the event and thought a little library would be a good addition to the city campgrounds.
