GA state parks welcoming evacuees, pets and horses

(Sept. 13, 2018) -- Campsites and cottages are still available and “dry camping” outside of normal camping areas is available for no charge, according to their website. Their group shelters are also open to people fleeing the storm.

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Georgia State Parks are welcoming evacuees and their pets as Florence barrels down on the East Coast.

The department said they can also accommodate equestrians at certain parks.

Campsites and cottages are still available and “dry camping” outside of normal camping areas is available for no charge, according to their website.
