NIAGARA FALLS — Looking for new hunting property, Niagara Falls developer John Hutchins decided to look at a property near Ellicottville, and was surprised and delighted to see about $5 million in buildings. He quickly decided that the place, a former campground, was meant for something similar again, reports the Niagara Gazette.

Hutchins noted that already in place were a restaurant, cabins, a recreation center with a stage, a lounge with a huge fireplace, an olympic size swimming pool, as well as a zipline and rope course, with a 20-acre lake at the center, writes the Niagara Gazette.

The Niagara Gazette reports that Hutchins recently introduced plans to create a year-round, all inclusive family camping resort, which he is calling The Woods at Bear Creek. The buildings are about to be renovated for a late summer opening, and will feature “glamping.”
