Dogs’ Day of Summer at Pokagon State Park, in Indiana, Aug. 28

(Aug. 24, 2010) -- In Indiana, Pokagon State Park will go to the dogs with various contests on Saturday, Aug. 28, at the park's campground amphitheater.

ANGOLA, Ind. — Pokagon State Park will go to the dogs on Saturday, Aug. 28, beginning at 3 p.m., at the park’s campground amphitheater, reports the Kokomo Perspective.

Campers and dog owners from the general public are encouraged to bring their four-legged, furry best friends to compete in the Pokagon Dog Idol contests. Dogs will be recognized in the following categories: biggest, smallest, best dressed, cutest and most unusual. There also will be dog-and-owner look-alike contests.
