DEC releases draft Devil’s Tombstone Campground for review

(Jan. 12, 2018) -- The draft Devil’s Tombstone Campground Unit Management Plan (UMP) has been released for public review and comment, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Regional Director Keith Goertz announced.

HUNTER, N.Y. — The draft Devil’s Tombstone Campground Unit Management Plan (UMP) has been released for public review and comment, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Regional Director Keith Goertz announced.

The UMP will guide management of the campground for the next 10 years. Devil’s Tombstone campground, located in the Greene County town of Hunter, is one of the oldest campgrounds in the Catskill Forest Preserve.
