Colorado Parks and Wildlife offering firewood at Lake Pueblo

(Nov. 14, 2017) -- Parks and Wildlife officers have opened up Lake Pueblo State Park to visitors to gather free driftwood from the shoreline with the purchase of a pass to the park starting Wednesday.

LAKE PUEBLO, Colo. — Parks and Wildlife officers have opened up Lake Pueblo State Park to visitors to gather free driftwood from the shoreline with the purchase of a pass to the park starting Wednesday.

Visitors can pick up driftwood or dead fall from trees in the area from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15. CPW said no other wood, including limbs and branches on live or dead standing trees can be gathered.
