CO: State park considers being dog-friendly

(Sept. 13, 2017) -- This summer a test began to let dogs hike on designated trails at the park, which is south of Colorado Springs. Park management thinks the trial was a success and wants the good times to continue for dogs and their owners.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Man’s best friend may get to permanently enjoy some of the trails at Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

This summer a test began to let dogs hike on designated trails at the park, which is south of Colorado Springs. Park management thinks the trial was a success and wants the good times to continue for dogs and their owners.

“We received a lot of favorable comments,” Park Manager Mitch Martin said.
