IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. — Looking after a campground is no picnic. But for Wendy Glidden, a mother of 10, it’s all in a day’s work.
Glidden drove a well-worn golf cart at the Guanella Pass Campgrounds from one chore to another last Thursday. With her daughter, Marissa, 12, riding shotgun, the two had already cleaned the outhouses and worked the stubborn water pump to fill a bucket for dousing campfire embers.
Glidden, her husband Mike, and six of their children signed up to be campground hosts this summer.
