(Sept. 26, 2014) -- The National Park Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are seeking volunteers to participate in a clean-up effort to observe National Public Lands Day starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Horse Creek Campground at Lake Kaweah, Calif.

VISALIA, Calif. — The National Park Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are seeking  volunteers to participate in a clean-up effort to observe National Public Lands Day starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Horse Creek Campground at Lake Kaweah, according to Visalia Delta-Times.

The volunteers will work on several projects seeking to beautify the public lands. Lunch will be provided to registered volunteers, Visalia Delta-Times reported.

For this year’s clean up effort, volunteers will take part in projects such as refurbishing campsites, restoring habitat, collecting litter and planting trees, Visalia Delta-Times explained.
