Camping rates go up May 1 in Oregon

(April 29, 2010) -- Oregon State Parks will be charging more for overnight stays for the first time in 13 years.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon State Parks will be charging more for overnight stays, reports KATU.

The state parks’ Discovery Season ends on April 30 and new rates take effect for the busy season on May 1.

This year new camping and day-use fees were adopted – KATU says it’s the first time there has been an increase in 13 years. RV campsite rates will go up by $4 per night.
