Camping fees to increase at Wis.’s Holtwood Park

(Nov. 21, 2012) -- Under a new rate schedule approved by the Oconto Committee of the Whole on Nov. 13, seasonal campers at Holtwood Park will pay around 12 percent more next year, reports the Green Bay Press Gazette.

OCONTO, Wis. — Under a new rate schedule approved by the Oconto Committee of the Whole on Nov. 13, seasonal campers at Holtwood Park will pay around 12 percent more next year, reports the Green Bay Press Gazette. Some daily fees are also set to be increased.

Seasonal rates increased $150 for interior and waterfront sites, to $1,350 and $1,400, respectively, reports the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Mayor Victoria Bostedt said the seasonal campers have had increases of $50 in each of the last two years, but the higher increase this year was warranted because of the jump in water rates last spring, and it wasn’t fair to residents to absorb all of that cost, reports the Green Bay Press Gazette.
