CA: Yosemite road, camp upgrades underway

(Oct. 26, 2017) -- Workers in Yosemite Valley will be expanding a walk-in campground and upgrading a road that connects Yosemite Village to Yosemite Falls until this winter, according to Yosemite National Park officials.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Workers in Yosemite Valley will be expanding a walk-in campground and upgrading a road that connects Yosemite Village to Yosemite Falls until this winter, according to Yosemite National Park officials.

The work should complement upgrades completed this summer, including a total redesign of the Yosemite Village Parking Area (formerly known as Camp 6), installation of a roundabout, and repaving of road between Stoneman Bridge and Yosemite Village.
