B.C.: Fire in Manning Park extinguished quickly

(Aug. 9, 2018) -- Around 6:30 p.m., a camper at the Coldspring Campground reported smoke coming from a hill above the campsite on Highway 3. Shortly after it was reported, the smoke had grown into open flames that were moving quickly among the dry tinder.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Campers at Manning Park had a front-row seat to what could have been a scary scene after a fire broke out on Sunday.

Around 6:30 p.m., a camper at the Coldspring Campground reported smoke coming from a hill above the campsite on Highway 3. Shortly after it was reported, the smoke had grown into open flames that were moving quickly among the dry tinder.
