FORT SASKATCHEWAN, Alberta — On the heels of Canada 150 celebrations and the free parks pass, Elk Island National Park is bracing for a busy camping season and another record year for visitors.
In 2015, the park, located off Highway 16, welcomed 244,000 visitors and last year that jumped to 360,000. This year EINP is already seeing a 20 per cent increases in visitation. This May long weekend kicks off the official camping season for 2017.
