AL: Birmingham RV park opens to evacuees

PELHAM, Ala. — Paula Oliver describes Hurricane Michael as devastating. Oliver and her family live in Panama City, Florida. After watching local news and speaking with her son about the hurricane, Oliver and her family decided load up their camper and head North. “I could tell by the tone of his voice that he was worried about us,” says Oliver.

She wanted to escape before Hurricane Michael hit hard. She says the panic started days before. Her family pulled in at Birmingham South RV Park in Pelham.
