AB: Lessard Lake campground still having water issues

(Aug. 8, 2018) -- One of the wells at Lessard Lake campground has been causing issues since mid-June 2018. Public Works has been trying to resolve the situation since then without any luck.

MAYERTHORPE, Alberta — One of the wells at Lessard Lake campground has been causing issues since mid-June 2018. Public Works has been trying to resolve the situation since then without any luck.

The well had been contaminated and, according to Donna Kerr, the community services manager, samples returning from Alberta Health have not been promising so far.

“My concern is the five seasonals that are in those sites that are affected, I feel there should be some compensation back to those seasonal site holders,” said Kerr.
