A $100 raffle ticket could win a $1 million RV park in California

(July 16, 2010) -- Mowrey's Golden Coach RV Park in a remote part of Plumas County isn't making enough money to pay his mortgage. So, for $100 a ticket, he's raffling off the nine-acre parcel, which includes 51 RV spots, a house, post office, two stagecoaches, two fire pits and some spectacular views.

PLUMAS COUNTY, Calif. –  A $1 million piece of dream land in the high Sierra can be yours for just $100, if you win Rob Mowrey’s raffle, KCRA-TV reported.

Mowrey’s Golden Coach RV Park in a remote part of Plumas County isn’t making enough money to pay his mortgage. So, for $100 a ticket, he’s raffling off the nine-acre parcel, which includes 51 RV spots, a house, post office, two stagecoaches, two fire pits and some spectacular views.

With the money from the raffle, Mowrey said he can get out of debt, and the winner gets everything except the mortgage.

But, if Mowrey doesn’t sell 10,000 tickets, he can’t pay off his loans, there’s no raffle and the money is refunded, KCRA reported.

  3. Go to goldencoachrv.com and you can register through paypal.

  4. It is not legal in CA for an individual to have a raffle; only non-profits can. Also raffles may not be done on the internet. The link to his website doesn’t work (it was shut down (?) or expired.

  5. well then he should only raffle tickets to people out of state – cause i want 1
