I’m excited to let the readers of RV Daily Report know that Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) will begin posting commentary and industry insights on a monthly basis to this site as a guest blogger. You will see posts from various members of our management team featuring what we hope to be interesting and relevant information.
We look forward to this opportunity because it provides us with an excellent forum to connect with you – our industry partners and customers. This blog is a first for FCCC, and we’re eager to begin using the medium as a way to communicate.
To start, let me share with you a little about our company.
Along with Class A diesel motorhome chassis, FCCC manufactures premium products for the delivery walk-in van, school bus and shuttle bus markets. We are a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA), which is owned by Daimler AG (formerly Mercedes-Benz). Our connection to Daimler gives FCCC access to, and support of, a best-in-class engineering and manufacturing company, along with a world of global professionals and experience.
Utilizing these resources enables FCCC to develop industry-first innovations across all of our product lines, including the broadest alternatively powered vehicle product lineup in the markets in which we participate. Regarding the RV market, we introduced the industry’s first hybrid-electric motorhome chassis – ecoFRED™ – in 2008. We also manufacture durable, powerful and reliable diesel-powered motorhome chassis, including the MC-L, XC, FRED and Powerliner III™. We engineer our chassis to offer the best ride and handling in the industry with the tightest turning radius available.
Our tagline, “Driven by You,” shows how seriously we consider our relationships with customers. This takes on a different connotation here in the social media space.
As we develop content for our postings, we encourage you to share your thoughts, comments, questions and ideas. We will be happy to answer your questions, as well as address any issues that you deem important to the industry, your business or the RV lifestyle. We will do our best to respond to all of your requests.
We look forward to talking with you!
