(Sept. 7, 2010) -- Beginning today Dash Point State Park, and its 141-site campground, will be closed for eight months so officials can complete a major rebuild of its sewer system. The $3.4 million project is expected to be completed in May, the News Tribune reported.

(Sept. 7, 2010) -- The layoffs were completed on Thursday, said Akos Sefcsik, director of operations for Jayco in Twin Falls, who explained that although the company had a good summer, dealers have not been replenishing their inventories and reordering what they sell.

(Sept. 6, 2010) -- After returning to their home in Wyoming, Mich., they bought a 5-year-old 22-foot Airstream that they hitched to the back of their 1963 Chevrolet Impala. Today, Ken Faber collects and restores vintage models. His collection, one of the largest in the United States, is in heavy demand this year as the RV industry celebrates its centennial.

(Sept. 6, 2010) -- With recent sales of larger diesel RVs slumping, Gardiner told the Journal Courier he was feeling the financial strain of operating out of a large facility. "Before, I had six acres and 70,000 square feet of building," he said. "Now I've got 8,000 square feet of building on four acres."

(Sept. 6, 2010) -- RV dealers who set up at the Grange Fair for the past week were reporting good results. By Tuesday, Bill Miller, owner of Miller Brothers RV and Camper Center, said he sold seven used RVs at the fair. Rival dealer, Susquehanna Valley RV had sold 17, the Centre Daily reported.

(Sept. 6, 2010) -- Decongreen, Inc., developed an aerosol spray that can be used to treat the inside of vehicles while unused, so mold won't grow. The spray covers 500 square feet, enough to take care of any vehicle and more, it can be effective for up to 5 years inside a leak free, closed environment.

(Sept. 6, 2010) -- “Before we opened, we had to go to the county and apply for a permit,” Terry Sinkler, owner of U-Neek RV told the Columbian. “We were told there were no outstanding issues with the property.” Now county officials estimate it could cost more than $100,000 to bring the site, owned by an arm of Poulsbo RV, into compliance.
