FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- The owners of Dominion Campground agreed to pay a $6,000 fine to settle allegations that its sewage-treatment plant exceeded discharge limits, WRIC-TV reported.
According to the consent decree, the Department of Environmental Quality issued discharge violations after the company reported that the plant exceeded discharge limits for suspended solids, nitrogen and phosphorus last year. Dominion Campground said the problems were related to rainfall seeping into the system.
