ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Jim Perskie, blogging at Press of Atlantic City, today encouraged city officials to consider building the "biggest, nicest, fanciest RV park in the country at Bader Field."
"Everybody and his mother has the perfect idea for fixing Atlantic City these days," he wrote. "Andrew Lee, of Linwood, first suggested the idea a year ago in a letter to the editor. But for reasons that are unclear to me, it popped into my head this morning, and I thought I would pass it along."
Perskie envisions Bader Field becoming an RV park with a nice central building, perhaps with a restaurant, as well as state-of-the-art plumbing, electrical and Internet hookups.
"These rigs are expensive. The people who own them have some money to spend. All of what Atlantic City offers would be a short walk or shuttle ride away," wrote Perskie. "And right at Bader, they would have access to fishing, crabbing and a boat ramp (a lot of RVers tow boats with them). I think they would love it."
