CLANTON, Ala. -- Minooka Park will host a summer celebration Saturday to highlight the grand opening of its new RV campground, the Clanton Advertiser reported.
Park manager Gerald Arrington said the gates open at 9 a.m., and admission to the park is free as always. Free hot dogs and other food will be available to those who attend.
A poker run will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., a fishing tournament from 5 to 8 p.m., and ATV riders can ride until 10 p.m. with approved lights.
We've had a lot of calls and interesting from folks who say they're coming," Arrington told the Advertiser. "I think we're going to have a big crowd."
The park has 18 RV full hook-up sites. For more information, call 205.312.1376 or visit minookapark.org.
