GRANED PRAIRIE, Alberta -- A World War II era grenade discovered in some personal effects of a Country Roads RV Park resident has been disposed of safely, HQ Grande Prairie reported.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police said the grenade was not active and did not pose a threat to public safety.
The grenade was discovered last night by a resident while going through a box of items. Police evacuated two trailers and cordoned off the area until the military personnel arrived to handle the disposal.
