SHAKOPEE, Minn. --- The Minnesota River will continue to rise in Shakopee over the weekend. The National Weather Service office in Chanhassen forecasts the river to hit 716.9 feet Tuesday at crest.
The Shakopee Valley News reports the river hit flood stage (708 feet) Thursday.
Shakopee Police Captain Jeff Tate said Thursday afternoon that the Shakopee Valley RV Park campground is under water.
Sandbagging was expected to begin this moring to protect Valley Haven Mobile Home Park from potential flooding.
