KITCHENER, Ontario, CANADA – March 19, 2010 - - While monthly sales of Class A and Class C motorhomes
continue to be down on a year-over-year basis, Class B sales have been up for the last six months, according to Statistical Surveys Inc.
In fact, Class As and Class Cs were down 19 percent, but Class Bs were up 33 percent during the same period.
“The rebound in Class B sales is probably the best kept secret in the industry,” said Roadtrek Chairman Jeff Hanemaayer. “And I think it’s a trend that will continue. We have the oldest buyers so we’ll benefit as more baby boomers move into their late 50’s and 60’s.”
Hanemaayer said he is pleased Roadtrek continued to dominate the Class B segment with 44.6 percent of the market in 2009. In addition, when all types of motorhomes were combined, Roadtrek ranked as the No. 11 motorhome manufacturer right on the heels of No. 10 Newmar Corp.
“Although 1 of every 13 motorhomes sold in the last six months was a Class B, many self described fullline RV dealers still don’t sell Class Bs. If they were sold in as many places as As and Cs, I can’t imagine how many more we would sell,” said Hanemaayer.
Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc. is a proud and successful member within its community. Since 1990, it has manufactured the No. 1 selling Class B motorhomes in North America. For more information, call 888.762.3873, e-mail sales@roadtrek.com or visit www.roadtrek.com/PR.
