WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- New York families are being forced to wait until May or June to learn whether their favorite campsites will be open or not, the Watertown Daily Times reported.
A proposed $29 million budget cut mean some of New York's 178 parks will close or cutback services, the paper reported.
The Daily Times noted that closing some campgrounds will put greater demand on others, making it even harder to find a campsite. Families need to know well ahead of time to make reservations and alternate arrangements, the paper reported.
