CLEVELAND, Ohio -- RamKoh, Inc. today announced the official launch of its patented portable sports bench, which is made in the USA, and is the result of nearly five years of research and development.
Traditional canvas chairs and benches are prone to ripping, broken grommets, mildew and dry rot. They can also be difficult to get in and out of, particularly for seniors and full-bodied persons. The patented PSB eliminates these problems with its high-density molded plastic construction, drainage holes, flat seating and sturdy, galvanized steel legs.
The seats are 18.5 inches off the ground, so users don't have to struggle to get up. In addition, the ComfortZone backrests allow the user to sit straight up or lean back.
“We originally set out to design a sturdy yet comfortable alternative to the traditional canvas travel chair and ended up with a lot more,” said Scott Ramsey, president and founder of RamKoh. “Although our initial target market consisted of athletes, coaches and parents, we designed an ergonomic, compact and heavy-duty portable bench that can be used in a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications.”
With 4 feet of seating area and backrests, the portable sports bench will support up to 750 pounds. Weighing just 22 pounds, the bench folds up into a cube with molded-in carrying handles for easy transportation.
RamKoh’s unique BenchExtender allows users to link multiple benches together without losing any seating capacity or comfort. With the BenchExtender users can create a single bench of 8, 12, 16, 20 feet or more.

The units come with a two-year warranty and retail for $199 to $225 each.
