WELD COUNTY, Colo. -- Weld County Commissioner Sean Conway said the county's code does not currently allow man camps, not that the county would never allow one, as previously stated. The statement arose after issues with residents of the Greeley RV Park, reports the Greeley Gazette.
The Greeley Gazette reports that the park owners were struggling to make ends meet, so when several oil companies came to them and asked if their workers could park their RVs there, they saw it as a win-win for everyone.
But earlier this year, the septic system overflowed and approximately 50 gallons of sewage spilled on the ground. It was quickly cleaned up, but not before several agencies swarmed to the area and cited the owners, reports the Greeley Gazette.
