W.Va. town adopts ordinance prohibiting campgrounds
By Kelly Cauthorn @ 10:52 AM :: ::
TRIADELPHIA, W.Va. -- On Wednesday, the Triadelphia Town Council unanimously approved an ordinance to prohibit campgrounds, campsites and recreational sites within the community, halting Brenda Kosem's plans to create a campground for natural gas drilling workers, reports the Wheeling Intelligencer.
The Wheeling Intelligencer reports that Kosem was planning on using her four-acre lot near the old Scott Lumber building for the campground.
Town Solicitor Patricia Kurelac told Kosem that one of the reasons council members did not want to allow the site is because they believe vehicles used as temporary residences are a potential fire hazard, reports the Wheeling Intelligencer.
