KIPTOPEKE, Va. -- Forrest Gladden, manager of Kiptopeke State Park, told Delmarva Now there was a time on the Eastern Shore when most people knew someone with beachfront property, a parcel of woodlands or a little boat ramp. Life was simpler then, says Delmarva Now nothing there was more familiarity, and recreational opportunities weren't curtailed by property boundaries Gladden told the newspaper at the state park, people still have access to the beach, the boat ramp and the large woodlands, just like they once did.
