Carolina show time

Yeah this will be another Camping world show without the NCRVDA members. Also this weekend will be the NCRVDA show with 14 dealers and several 100 units of all brands at the Park, which was called the Merchandise mart. Big weekend in NC for RV shows. Two shows. By two promotors in one town! The customer has a big choice to make....

Misleading show
Sunday, February 19, 2012 3:56 PM
On Saturday, February 18th, 2012 I attended the Charlotte, NC NCRVDA RV show. I am a somewhat informed RV show customer. The NCRVDA show was a great show representing several NC RV dealers. After seeing all the local TV ads promoting another RV "show" in Charlotte this weekend, I feel it is unfair to the general public to be lured to a RV "show" where the majority of the RV's are, from what I understand, only from Camping World. In my opinion, it's not fair to the general public to advertise a RV show, then to get there to find it's mainly one dealer putting on the "show". The TV ads promoted the Camping World "show" as the longest running show etc., but the previous Charlotte show promoted by Affinity had many dealers. It just doesn't seem honest to advertise what in the past has been a multi-dealer show, but is now almost an exclusive Camping World show, while the TV ads indicate it's the same show that's been going on for so many years. I just don't understand why the Affinity/Camping World "show", if they're going to have it, aren't honest to say it's mainly a Camping World show, rather than advertising it like the show with many dealers which it had been in the past.

to John: you must if you felt the need to state it.
It's all about market share. It seems quite clear that Mr. Lemonis of Camping World wants as much as he can get. Once the majority of general rv consumers figure it out (it's a single dealer show) he will loose market what he has tried to gain. No one wants to feel they've been suckered and once they feel it, they won't forget it.
