DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- Police say three people are dead and two critically injured after a hostage standoff at the Highland Woods RV Park in Deerfield Beach Thursday evening, reports CBS News.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived on the scene shortly after 6:30 p.m. and saw a man on the ground outside an RV. Inside the RV, a man told police he was holding a woman hostage and would kill her if they approached, reports CBS News.
The BSO SWAT Team eventually entered the RV in the early morning hours on Friday. CBS News reports that they found a nine-year-old boy and the suspect dead, and a woman and seven-year-old boy badly hurt.
