QUARTZSITE, Ariz. -- CBS This Morning will air a piece on “all about RVing and women who RV” Feb. 7. The segment features an event with the Texas Ramblin’ Roses, an RVing Women chapter.
RV lifestyle expert Jaimie Hall Bruzenak was interviewed for the piece while boondocking in the desert with her husband in Quartzsite, Ariz. Lee Cowan, CBS National correspondent, conducted the interviews.
Bruzenak, along with Alice Zyetz, is the co-author of The Woman’s Guide to Solo RVing and co-editor of RV Traveling Tales: Women’s Journeys on the Open Road.
“Many people are not aware that more women solo RV than men,” she explained.
Asked about handling mechanical problems, she added, “Women can handle problems that come up in an RV just like they can handle issues in a stix ‘n brix dwelling. They can learn to fix it themselves, ask for help or take it to an expert. Not all men are mechanically inclined either.”
The show airs between 7 and 9 a.m. each weekday morning. The segment will run in the second half of the show on Tuesday morning between 8 and 9 a.m.
