SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. -- New York State is moving ahead with legislation that would allow campground owners to remove disruptive guests, reports The Adirondack Daily Enterprise.
The bill, sponsored by State Sen. Betty Little, R-Queensbury, passed the Senate earlier this week. Little said the bill gives campground owners the same authority hotels and motels have when guests become disruptive, reports The Adirondack Daily Enterprise.
The Adirondack Daily Enterprise writes that the bill would let campground owners kick out guests for any of the following reasons:
-They aren't registered as a guest or visitor.
-They've remained on the campground beyond their stay.
-They've created a disturbance that impedes on another guest.
-They've violated any local, state or federal law.
