SHELTON, Conn. -- Roughly 2,400 children suffer electrical injuries each year from incidents involving electrical outlets and receptacles.
As a result, the 2008 National Electrical Code requires all new modular housing and park model RVs built to Recreational Park Trailer Industry Association (RPITA) standards that use self contained devices (SCDs) to use tamper-resistant SCD receptacles and outlets.
