(Nov. 29, 2011) -- Residents of Lakewood Village, an RV park in Harlingen, say there are too many black-bellied whistling ducks in their pond this year. Local wildlife authorities have urged residents to be careful not to breathe dust from the duck feces, reports the Brownsville Herald.

(Nov. 29, 2011) -- The Corpus Christi Caller Times reports that officials in Port Aransas are advising RV drivers to check first before trying to hitch a ride on a local ferry. RVs were not permitted onto ferries during low tide on Monday, which lasted for nearly five hours.
